Normal work hours are Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM. Benefits for this position include equipment discounts, health insurance, retirement benefits and paid time off. A cell phone, and PC will also be provided. Our office is located in central Tampa and the vast majority of our work is currently in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties.

Overview

The audio/video technician is responsible for completing assigned tasks under the supervision of the lead technician on a daily basis. Highly experienced technicians will be expected to complete these tasks without supervision. This position requires artisanship skills, a strict attention to detail and excellent communication/organizational skills.

Skills and Experiences Required:

The ideal candidate will possess the following experiences, knowledge and skills:

• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blue prints, electronic schematics, and user manuals
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and manage priorities
• Ability to use hand and power tools to complete physical installations
• Ability to work on ladders up to 30’ and lift up to 50 lbs.
• An understanding of general construction and NEC electrical principles
• Proficiency with residential pre-wire, trim and final system installations
• Proficiency with residential retrofit wiring
• Experience servicing and troubleshooting integrated systems
• Experience installing A/V equipment- TVs, Speakers, AV Receivers, etc.
• Experience with LED lighting and landscape lighting system installation and configuration
• Experience with alarm system wiring and programming
• Experience configuring CCTV DVRs and NVRs
• Experience configuring network equipment
• Experience programming control systems
• Experience installing and programming motorized roller shades
• Experience installing and programming lighting control devices
• Experience installing other smart home devices and integrations- thermostats, door locks, pool controllers, etc.
• Proficiency using a PC, tablets and Smart Phones is required for this position
• You must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background test. Industry related hand-tools are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
