H-E-B's GM Sourcing Group enhances the customer shopping experience by bringing in products from local, domestic, and international suppliers.
As an GM Associate Sourcing Manager, you'll manage agent merchandising teams and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful execution through product development and sourcing, to shelf.

What is the work?
Management / Compliance:
- Manages / may lead agent merchandising teams; ensures proper execution (communicating objectives, selecting suppliers, import process, timelines, GSS training, and product selection / details)
- Collaborates with BDM and PD&D to identify gaps in OB assortment and business opportunities
- Leads planning of all international sourcing trips to ensure objectives are achieved
- Manages sample requests and tracking for BDM review / finalization
- Manages sourcing timelines; collaborates with BDM, BDA, Planner, OB/PD&D to ensure milestones are met and achieved
- Ensures appropriate information is in product systems (e.g., GSS, OBPS)
- Educates new vendors on requirements to work with H-E-B (NDAs, new vendor packets, new item setup, MTM, DCM, CMs, AP / AR portal, GSS, and OBPS)
Strategy:
- Collaborates with BDM, PD&D, and Planner on OB strategic roadmap
- Aligns with global logistics on shipping and port strategies, freight rates / needs, and shipping and flow prioritization
- Supports OB opportunity pipeline planning and financials
What is your background?
- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
- Experience in sourcing, product development, product management, or buying
Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an GM Associate Sourcing Manager at H-E-B?
- Working knowledge of international sourcing process and financials, costing, and raw materials
- Working knowledge of MS office and database query tools
- Understanding of global dynamics (e.g., currency fluctuation, tariff changes, country dynamics, cultural differences, business-related legislation)
- Strong communication skills
- Project management skills
- Decision-making skills
- Ability to communicate through language barriers and cultural differences
- Ability / willingness to travel internationally and domestically, working long hours during non-traditional work times
- Ability to manage business outside of traditional business hours
- Ability to operate and achieve objectives virtually and on the ground
- Ability to successfully collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a global environment
