We are seeking an Associate Marketing Manager, Health Economics & Reimbursement Operations who is experienced and knowledgeable in department strategy through creation and maintenance of tools and resources, education and training on reimbursement principles, and building relationships both internally (co-workers) and externally (physicians and health economic opinion leaders). This new team member will help with the development of information to customers and Abbott representatives about health economics and reimbursement related to procedures supported by our technology.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provides direction on the tools, programs and messages produced by the health economics and reimbursement department.
  • Works with a team of health economic and reimbursement professionals to develop tools, programs and messages that support and enable the sale and use of Abbott therapy solutions by healthcare providers.
  • Manages the department Communication Strategy which includes internal and external messaging, tools, websites and sales training platforms.
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with internal Abbott stakeholders including but not limited to Marketing, Sales Operations, Legal, Regulatory, and Sales divisions.
  • Participates in assigned cross-departmental meetings and conference calls for the purpose of providing input and guidance regarding market dynamics and issues needing focus, attention and action.
  • Works with internal HE&R teams to analyze trends relating to current private payers, workers compensation administrators and Medicare carriers.
  • Supports Abbott Divisions as it relates to pre/post-launch private payer and reimbursement issues or requirements, including commercial insurance packets and follow-up.
  • Supports development of coding guides, reimbursement apps and educational content to support activities in assigned business segments.
  • Runs data analytics reports, creates summaries of data and distributes information proactively on a regular basis as well as when requested.
  • Uses analytics tools to develop solutions meeting customers reporting needs.
  • Assists in analysis of customer metrics including service line finance, individual quality measures, and performance data in conjunction with Value Analysis and ad hoc presentations.
  • Assists in developing and regularly updating reimbursement tools and resources for use by stakeholders in clinical and economic settings.
  • Works with manager to develop and implement reports/programs for BaseCase apps which expand current analytic and functional capabilities, and effectively each the entire sales
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years related experience

Preferred

  • Functional experience in reimbursement or HE&R.
  • Experience working with health plans, managed care and/or physician group payers
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model
  • Experience with project management, database development or statistical analysis software
  • Broad technical knowledge of health economics
  • Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical space
  • Advanced Experience in Microsoft Office including proficiency with Excel pivot tables and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to perform under pressure and in a very dynamic, highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Must have a high degree of initiative, motivation and passion for the business.
  • Must be able to work, direct, and take direction with all levels of management.
  • Must have ability to understand complex and technical information.
  • Must be able to perform in a diverse cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
