Associate Engineer, Audio Applications
Job Description:
ADI’s Audio Solutions Business Unit is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Associate Engineer, Audio Applications at our San Jose Location. You will work within the System Engineering Group, and across a multi-faceted team equipped with the knowledge required to create complete audio solutions, including aspects of acoustical, algorithms, electrical, industrial, mechanical, and software engineering. Your main role will be to assist in new product validation and customer support, in this individual contributor role.
The position will require creativity to create solutions which address customers’ system challenges as well as clever implementations for automated bench validation. Additional duties include travel, including trade shows, as well as sales and field application engineer training, writing articles, and crafting design ideas.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BSEE or equivalent degree
  • Strong fundamental electrical and analytical skills
  • Strong lab and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with lab equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs)
  • Familiar with programming languages such as C, C#, C++, Visual Basic or Labview
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Passion for Audio or Music
  • Practical Audio experience in (an) IC or system company
  • Experience with domain centric test equipment (i.e. Audio Precision, NTi, HATS)
  • Knowledge of signal processing techniques and digital audio including relevant interface protocols

The wage range for a new hire into this position is $74,002 to $105,311.
