Respected, boutique law firm specializing in the representation of first responders/safety officers’ workers’ compensation claims seeks an associate attorney. While we are a high-volume practice with extensive clientele, we strive to bring a personal, client focused approach to each of our clients and their families. The right addition to our team will be a hard-working, dedicated individual who can work well with their fellow attorneys and with the many safety officers we represent.
We pride ourselves on maintaining a professional, well-run office while simultaneously promoting close-knit relationships between our attorneys. The ideal associate will be passionate about the clientele they represent, but will also excel at professional networking skills and interpersonal relationships. Responsibilities:

• Review client files to provide detailed file work ups for the handling attorney and the legal assistant
• Review medical reports to assess next steps, rate injuries and prepare for settlement
• Attend hearings, trials and depositions
• Contact clients to discuss case status and/or outcome of hearings or trials
• Work within a team to help move cases to a conclusion

Qualifications:

• Juris doctorate from an American Bar Association accredited university
• Admission to the California State Bar
• Interest in represented injured police and firefighters
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Comfortable working in a face paced environment
• Professional demeanor
• Ability to “self-start” and solve problems
• We will train the right individual, including newly admitted attorneys

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
All in person meetings and court appearances are limited. Employees are working a hybrid work schedule to decrease the number of people in the office each day.
