Scooter’s Coffee Assistant Manager Position

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in a variety of operations duties including staffing, sales, and operations. This role assists in hiring, training, mentoring, and leading a friendly, guest focused barista team. The Assistant Manager helps set a high-energy work pace, driving sales, and exemplifying the core values of Integrity, Love, Humility, and Courage.

Starting Wage: $36,000 annually (plus quarterly Performance Bonuses!)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent and quality customer experience by executing brand beverage recipes and techniques, resolving customer relations issues, and leading the team in delivering the Scooter’s “Amazing” customer service experience

• Maintain speed of service standards during high-volume periods by staying calm, managing an efficient team workflow, anticipating customer needs, and utilizing downtime to prepare for the next rush

• Assist the Store Manager in interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members

• Develop effective working relationships with team members, identifying individual motivation factors and providing clear, constructive feedback to reinforce or improve performance

• Proactively seek opportunities to increase individual and team sales

• Ensure all cash handling, point of sale system, safety, and operational procedures are performed in an accurate, consistent manner

• Ensure team members follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

• Leading and ensuring completion of all opening and closing procedures

• Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and adaptability

• Assist Store Manager with administrative duties as requested

• Mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays expected
