The New England College Psychology Department is seeking a candidate whose primary teaching responsibilities will be residential teaching in the Psychology major. Teaching will include a wide range of courses taken by the general education student, the psychology major and the psychology students with a concentration in Human Services. Candidates who bring prior teaching and career experience in human services, clinical psychology and/or counseling are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties Summary
  • Teach undergraduate psychology courses and advise students in the major
  • Support a diverse student population
  • Provide service to the major, the division and the larger college community
  • Collaborate with program faculty on curriculum, course review and assessment
  • Contribute to program recruitment and admission activities
  • Engaging in scholarship and professional activities that engage students

Required Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. or PsyD in Psychology or closely related field
  • Evidence of successful teaching ability
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of effective and innovative pedagogy
  • Scholarship that can engage students in the research process
