Job description
Assists the Division Director in the management and oversight of the Parking Division including the management of personnel and payroll, public relations and community outreach, departmental administrative support, training, and special events coordination and the planning, development and implementation of special projects or programs.
- Reporting to the Parking Director; Supervises the day-to-day administrative operations of the Parking Division.
- Works directly with the Parking Director in developing the short-term and long-term strategic goals of the Parking Program in support of citywide economic development, cultural, and quality of life initiatives.
- Supervises and plans division activities by conducting and attending various meetings, assigning tasks to divisional staff, conducting discussions on the handling of activities or assignments, and conferring with staff concerning goals and objectives.
- Ensures a well-managed government through sound financial management practices in support of Budget development and day- to- day financial operations.
- Works collaboratively with the Department of Communications on Parking’s marketing and communications as well as serves as the direct liaison with other City departments and outside agencies.
- Promotes public relations by addressing inquiries and resolving customer issues, conducts presentations by obtaining and preparing information and gaining approval from various offices, and preparing and reviewing correspondence, and performing site visits related to projects or complaints.
- Carries out complex special projects and develop reports for review by the Parking Director and Department Director.
- Assists in the roll-out of various Parking initiatives.
Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Required:
- Five or more years of experience
- Parking industry experience
Signing Bonus: This position is eligible for a one-time $5,000 signing bonus for new hires. The signing bonus will be paid in two (2) increments: $2,500 upon completion of 60 days of employment, and $2,500 upon completion of your probationary period. To receive the signing bonus, you must be an active employee in good standing.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM
