Canine Resort Assistant Manager
Love of animals is a must! Starmark Animal Behavior Center is an exceptional dog boarding and training facility located in Hutto Texas. Starmark is seeking a highly motivated, responsible, full time assistant kennel supervisor to join our team. ** Prior leadership experience and pet care experience are required for this position.** Daily tasks include, but are not limited to: walking, feeding, medicating, and providing care to all dogs in our care. Assistant Supervisor duties include:

• Provide strong leadership and supervision to Kennel Attendants and excellent customer service to clients.
• Maintain a routine priority system that will facilitate the standards set by the Kennel Manager as they apply to the care of animals and maintenance of the facility.
• Set standards of performance that must be met to effectively keep the boarding facilities running smoothly.
• Develop methods that will enhance the morale of the boarding team members. Boarding team members should feel they are vital to the operation of this business and are appreciated.
• Instruction and training to Kennel Attendants.
• Enforce a maintenance schedule of building equipment along with facilitating general maintenance.
• Assist whenever needed with emergency scheduling/coverage.
• May be required to work more than 40 hours during the work week
• Working conditions are primarily in an open air kennel facility and fast paced
• Working environment involves exposure to temperature variations, exposure to insects (especially fleas, ticks, and mosquitos), animal bites, hazardous chemicals, dirty contaminated surfaces, high noise areas, animal waste, unfavorable fumes and vapors, damp/wet/dirty surfaces, dusty conditions and cramped work areas
• Frequently moves items weighing up to 25 pounds; occasionally moves items weighing up to 100 pounds
• Frequently moves about the office and kennel
• Frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Kennel Manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
