ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

The Aviary Group – The Aviary Restaurant, Aviary Events and The Rookery

The ideal candidate will possess 3 years of restaurant experience in a leadership role.

The Aviary is expanding! With a target opening early 2023 of The Aviary Event Venue and The Rookery, located on the same property as The Aviary Restaurant in Swansea, MA. We are looking for a creative, professional and experienced Assistant Manager. The Aviary Restaurant is casual fine dining with 130+ seats. In addition, there will be 2 event spaces with a total of 125+ seats and The Rookery, a casual pub style restaurant with 45+ seats.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling for FOH
• Hiring, training and coaching all service positions
• Ensure a quality guest experience, including private dining
• Coordinate activities with all other Managers and maintain professional relationships
• Supporting the General Manager in all aspects of overseeing and leading the daily operations in a positive environment

Qualifications

• Successful experience in a leading role in a high volume, upscale dining and/or casual style pub.
• Experience with private events
• Have a thorough understanding labor control
• Proficient with computers, restaurant software and MS office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
