We are currently looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing to help oversee our Emergency Department! The Assistant Director of Nursing maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement. The Assistant Director of Nursing actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard and performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center. The Assistant Director of Nursing participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The ADN embraces both the Professional Practice Model and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing. The ADN role models service excellence. Activities, maintains professional practice standards, and demonstrates leadership and management skills. The ADN will be responsible for quality management, peer review, and performance improvement processes within a designated Nursing Care Center, ensuring that these activities are coordinated through the Department of Professional Practice/Nursing Quality and are in alignment with organizational priorities. The ADN will support the goals of the Department of Professional Practice, working to ensure that the delivery of nursing care at the Care Center is aligned with scope of practice guidelines established by the American Nursing Association and the NY State Department of Education, Professional Licensing Division. The ADN will perform case finding and analysis, provide QI committee support, and facilitate the conduct of studies and projects that will achieve Nursing Care Center and organizational goals for cost, quality, and service. The ADN also serves as a liaison at each Care Center for support of professional nursing practice at ambulatory and procedural areas of those Care Centers and assists in support of other ambulatory care sites as assigned.

• Position: Emergency Department - Assistant Nurse Manager (RN)
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM (night shift)
• Salary: $100,000 - $150,000+ (depending on years of experience)

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

• New York State Registered Professional Nurse License and current registration.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or related field required.
• Master of Science degree in Nursing or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years management experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
• Effective management skills necessary to direct and guide the nursing staff in maintaining safe practice.
• Ability to apply and utilize the balanced scorecard measures (customer service, financial, innovation and growth, and performance improvement).
• Critical thinking and analytic skills necessary for problem solving and clinical decision-making.
• Computer literacy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
