Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and support to the nursing staff, ensuring compliance with infection control standards, and educating staff on best practices in patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department
• Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
• Developing and implementing infection control policies and procedures
• Conducting regular audits of infection control practices and identifying areas for improvement
• Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations related to infection control
• Providing education and training to nursing staff on best practices in patient care, including infection control measures
• Participating in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
• Supporting the Director of Nursing in managing staffing levels and ensuring adequate coverage for patient care needs
• Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to patient care and safety

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing leadership or infection control in a skilled nursing facility
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to infection control and patient care
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Experience with staff education and training
