Job description
Multiple positions on several shifts.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Operates automated assembly production equipment.- Performs minor equipment adjustments and daily maintenance.
- Monitors and recommends improvements to the area as needed.
- Complies with Company and area safety policies and practices.
- Interfaces with quality assurance to insure product quality.
- Maintains accurate production and equipment operation records.
- Performs tests and measurements on parts to insure product quality.
- Assists in picking, transporting and exchanging of materials, supplies and parts.
- Responsible for proper hazardous waste generation activities, including accumulation at accumulation satellite areas.
- Supports and fosters active participation in, and complies with, corporate values as outlined in the Corporate Values and Expectations Handbook.
- Completes on the job and specialized training as required.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
- Must be mobile.
- Must be able to sit or stand for most of shift.
- Must have vision correctable to 20/20; not be color blind.
- Must understand written and verbal communication in English.
COMPETENCIES
- Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Able to do simple multi-tasking while meeting out-put requirements.
- Ability to understand quality standards to identify quality problems/issues while following procedures.
- Ability to comply with EMS and safety regulations.
- Ability to understand basic Assembly industry standards.
- Ability to recognize common Assembly quality defects.
- Working understanding of ISO9001/TS16949/ISO14001.
A shift 5:45a-6:00p Mon-Wed & every other Th
B shift 5:45p-6:00a Mon-Wed & every other Th (9% pay differential)
C shift 5:45a-6:00p every other Th & Fri-Sun (9% pay differential)
D shift 5:45p-6:00a every other Th & Fri-Sun (12% pay differential)
Full time, approximately 36 hours one week; 48 the following week. (Alternating weeks)
