Job Summary:
Summit Tractor Assemblers perform tasks that are necessary to the production process. They aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions to meet safety and quality requirements.
As an assembler, you must have an aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail. A top-notch assembler should have the ability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal and written instructions, as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents, and be a team player.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Adheres to defined quality system regulations (QSR), safety and housekeeping practices, as required by the work area.
- Perform minor rework as required to detail parts and components to permit proper assembly.
- Performs tasks assigned by Lead and Production Manager
- Accurately reports all labor transactions.
- Supports and trains new employees as needed.
- Supports Company goals and missions.
- Complies with all safety regulations.
- Treats co-workers and supervisors with respect
- Supports the continuous improvement goals of the Company.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Mechanical ability is required.
- Must be quality and safety driven in compliance with work procedures and safety rules.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed.
- Mon-Fri and some Saturdays
- Ability to understand methods sheets and documented work instructions.
- Flexible and willing to perform various tasks.
- Has a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work as a team where safety and quality come first.
Education and Experience:
- H.S graduate or equivalent GED – Tech school training a plus.
- Must have experience with mechanical assemblies.
- Experience with hydraulic components and systems is preferred.
- Hydraulic installation experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely lift 60 pounds.
- Most work performed standing at floor level.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
