Job description

We are seeking General Manager role for a full time, perm opportunity for a manufacturing and production client. For this role, the candidate will lead, motivate, and manage the company in all aspects of safety, operations, sales, finance, equipment, and critical support functions with primary responsibility for ensuring effective execution of company operational performance and growth strategy. This is an onsite position located in Orlando, Florida.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Competency requirements include business acumen, customer focus, developing direct reports, drive for results, strategic agility and building effective teams.
  • Ability to communicate with civic leaders and local, state, and national policy makers.
  • Ability to prepare annual budgets and work with and/or administer budget; ability to answer questions and present financial data to Regional President and others.
  • Experience in a management role within the construction industry specifically in asphalt, aggregates, construction and/or equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Viewpoint, Tableau and HCCS
  • Project management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related discipline and/or equivalent combination of knowledge, skills and abilities.

Work Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures per company policy.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Approximately 30 – 40% of the time.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position is: Face Shield, Safety (hard toe) Shoes and Safety Vest.
