ASPEN GROVE FAMILY CAMP Outdoor Program Staff

Range Master

The range master position is available for seasonal work at a summer camp from June 5 - September 4, 2023. All staff positions work a 40-hour work week with an hourly wage and staff live on-site in housing units. Meals are also included. Wage is $10.25 per hour plus room and board.

The range master will be responsible for range duties during the summer season. This position will allow many opportunities for guest interaction. Range master is responsible for instructing guests of all ages in safety for both archery and air rifles.

Additional range duties include range setup and takedown, taking inventory of equipment, and some range maintenance. Experience with ranges preferred. Must be personable, patient, calm, decisive, and willing to always enforce range safety. Must have regular and consistent attendance at scheduled shift.

Lifeguard

The lifeguard positions are available for seasonal work at a summer camp from June 12 - September 4, 2023. All staff positions work a 40-hour work week with an hourly wage and staff live on-site in housing units. Meals are also included. Wage is $10.25 per hour plus room and board.

This position will be responsible for being a lifeguard during the summer season. Must have a current certification from the American Red Cross in Lifeguard Training. Experience preferred as a past lifeguard.

Must be personable, patient, calm, decisive, and willing to enforce swimming pool policies and rules. Must have regular and consistent attendance at scheduled shift.

Essential Functions

In addition to the duties associated with the above jobs, all staff will be responsible within the 40-hour work week for cleaning and preparing camp facilities for guests' arrival each week. Duties include cleaning restrooms, housing units, and other facilities. Sunday work is required of all staff and will require anywhere from two to six hours of work depending upon your area of employment.

A branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints meets Sunday mornings during Family Camp. Staff may also participate in weekly Sunday firesides.

Required: Graduation from high school
