The Role:

As an Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be responsible for managing the customer onboarding process, including review of customer contractual agreements, credit risk analysis, and establishment of credit limits and payment terms. You will work closely with sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues related to accounts receivable. In addition, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts receivable function, developing policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely billing and collection of customer accounts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues related to customer accounts and collections. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections, and cash application processes.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the accurate and timely billing and collection of customer accounts
  • Collaborate, support and train cross-functional teams to resolve any issues related to customer accounts and collections.
  • Manage customer deductions report and ensure timely resolution of all customer chargebacks.
  • Perform regular analysis of accounts receivable data to identify trends and potential issues and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage the accounts receivable aging report and ensure that overdue accounts are addressed promptly and appropriately.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate collections.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Train and develop accounts receivable staff to ensure a high level of performance and productivity.
  • Manage the customer onboarding process, including review of customer contractual agreements and establishment of credit limits and payment terms.
  • Conduct credit risk analysis to minimize financial risk and exposure.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues related to accounts receivable.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in a consumer electronics (consumer hardlines) company; 10+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Experience working with SAP software preferred.
  • Experience managing accounts receivable for big box retail and Amazon preferred.
  • Contract review experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including but not limited to pivot tables and formulas.
  • Financial statement analysis and credit risk management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume accounts receivable function.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
