Position Description:

An HVAC Control System Application Engineer is responsible for the design of temperature controls systems and related products for HVAC systems, engineering documentation, and providing technical support for Project Managers and Field Technicians. Electro Controls is the Western Montana manufacturer representative for Delta Controls and Accutrol. An Application Engineer provides the critical link between the project design engineer’s intent and the products Electro Controls represents. Utilizing product solutions, an Application Engineer provides the project team with a detailed, customized design that will allow our team to successfully provide the end-user an HVAC system that exceed the design engineer’s intent. An ideal candidate would be a detail-oriented, self-reliant individual with a positive attitude and a solid fundamental understanding of electronics and computers. Experience with mechanical systems, HVAC, DDC controls, and designing systems using CAD software is also beneficial but not necessary. Consistent interaction with mechanical consulting engineers, commercial building owners, vendors and other construction trades will require strong verbal and written communication skills. It is also beneficial to have a complimentary background and familiarity with the commercial construction industry and project management.

Training:

Successful applicant will be put through an extensive hands-on training program covering all of the aspects HVAC temperature controls. Training is provided to a successful candidate for any deficiencies of normal application engineering duties. We also provide continuous training for all application engineers within our organization to allow growth of the individual and accelerate organizational growth.

An ideal candidate would be a team player every step of the way. Candidate should be organized, have great communication skills, be detail-oriented, self-reliant, with a positive attitude and a solid understanding of the construction industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $55.00 per hour
