Responsible for safeguarding assets through the audit of accounts payable vouchers for proper authorization in accordance with company policy, verification of receipt of goods or services, extension of items totals, and agreement with purchase order/request. Entry of all general ledger journal entries into general ledger accounting software. Ensures proper reporting of revenue through the revenue audit process. Audits time reporting system reports ensuring accurate payroll processing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Daily cash reporting, preparation of journal entries for daily cash transactions, entry of all general ledger journal entries into general ledger accounting software, auditing and tracking credit card deposits, and recording the monthly journal entry for credit card discounts.
• Code vouchers with general ledger account distribution in accordance with coding policy. Input vouchers into the accounts payable subsidiary ledger upon completion of the audit process.
• Pay vendors in accordance with the instructions of the Controller. Maintain documentation for paid vouchers, unpaid vouchers, and vouchers in various stages of the audit process.
• Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the preparation of 1099-Misc. forms at year-end and reconciliation of vendor statements to vendor accounts.
• Ensure all bank statements are received each month, sorting and accounting for all journal entries at month-end and control petty cash receipts and disbursements.
• Audit all gaming revenue-generating and processing locations throughout the Casino.
• Review all audit work for compliance with government regulations, the System of Internal Controls, and company policies and procedures.
• Report and process all audit exceptions for management review and responses.
• Assist departments and external sources with document retrieval and review.
• Employment and wage verifications.
• Assist employees with payroll questions.
• Review assigned departments' time entries for accuracy and applicable data entry.
• Assist in the preparation of and delivery of checks to departments.
• Other duties as assigned by the Controller.
