Alarm Installation / Service Manager

Alarm Installation / Service Manager shall manage all aspects and operations of alarm installations and service for accounts, staff, and assets assigned to the Waunakee office. Responsibility begins at new job hand-off, and continues through alarm installation, job closeout, service, and customer retention.

Experience Required:

Qualified candidate will have a minimum of 5 years alarm experience with a strong technical background as well as a minimum of 2 years management experience or a 4 year degree. This is a management position that requires a strong technical understanding of fire alarm and security system programming, codes, and installation, while also having experience in managing people, processes, and projects.

Duties Include:

Management / Operations: Manage all aspects of New Berlin Alarm related to installation, service, and inspection, including design for non-fire installations.

Personnel / Operations management

o Recruiting & Hiring.

o Direct management of Madison area alarm installation, service, and inspection technicians, admins, and warehouse receiving staff. Jobs admin & design will report to Operations Manager on Sedona admin operations tasks / performance, and Branch Manager for general and job / service management.

o Scheduling of technicians

§ Scheduling of installation technicians several days in advance

§ Rough installation schedule weeks in advance

§ Daily review of technicians hours with review of GPS

§ Insuring techs are out the door in a timely efficient manner each AM.

o Training / Technician growth

o Management of Inventory / Purchasing

o Project management on turnkey jobs.

Alarm Installation management:

Manager is responsible for delivery of profitable installations with high quality and happy customers. Manager will work with Entrepreneur to develop standardized installation tasks and standards into a standardized process that can be replicated over and over as much as possible. Manager will then manage the technicians (which includes admins and warehouse) to ensure the process is followed, improved upon, and delivers profitable consistent results.

Weekly JIP (Jobs in Progress) report review with Entrepreneur and Jobs Admin. Weekly AAR review to close out completed jobs.

Follow up final site visit or quality follow up phone call to the customer on every job.

anticipate about 50% of the job to be in the field with techs on jobs and or service.

Alarm Service:

Ensure happy customer who pay their bills.

· Directly manage the service technicians, alarm inspectors, and service coordinator.

· Daily management of the service queue and updates with the service coordinator to better allocate technicians to tickets.

· Service coordinator to update service manager daily on service queue, and request assistance from service manager on any tickets that can’t be resolved within 3 business days.

· Manage the service queue resolution / close process. Manage to ensure that the service coordinator coordinates with inspectors and service coordinator on daily resolution of all inspections – weekly closing of all inspection tickets. No inspection or service ticket that is completed shall be “unresolved” by 10:00 the next day. No resolved ticket shall be open longer than 7 days after “resolved”.

· Technically assist with advanced service calls or coordinate with senior tech if necessary.

· Manage “on-call” rotation. I’d like you on this as well to minimize the number of times per year a tech is on call.

· Create estimates for service repairs and small add-on services utilizing Quotewerks estimating.

· Supervise the maintaining of AES-Intellinet network and personally monitor network

Compensation / Benefits
