Marion St. Mary School is a PK-8 Catholic School located in downtown Marion, attached to St. Mary Church. We are blessed to serve a student population of approximately 130 young scholars. We are seeking an After School Care Program Coordinator for the 2023-2024 school year.

We desire a candidate who is warm, energetic, and passionate about the field of education. The ideal candidate will encourage harmony and communication inside the classroom and the school. Above all, we desire a candidate who cares deeply about engaging children in learning, and working in a collaborative team setting.

The School-Age Child Care Program Director directs and supervises the activities of the after school care program at the school.

Hours per week: 20+

This position could possibly be combined with one or more duties to add hours or become full time. It depends on the candidate's skills and wishes. Minimum hours per week is 20.

Duties:

Assists in caring for children and running activities from approximately 3:00-6 pm each regular school day, with adjustments made for early dismissals.

Supervises any staff or volunteers to provide a safe environment for children.

Holds meetings/training with SACC program staff and volunteers as needed.

Plans program activities and schedule with guidance from school principal, including pickup of children and closing procedures.

Sees that all appropriate supplies and equipment are available for the program.

Prepares for program promotion activities such as parent meetings or open houses.

Maintain positive relationships with parents and families.

Completes and organizes parent paperwork, forms, and records for each child.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare/Education: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
