We are looking to for enthusiastic, motivated team players to join their After-school team! We are currently hiring Counselors to plan and implement activities for the children involved in our program. Afterschool Counselors are responsible for the daily supervision and safety of a group of up to 15 children. Afterschool Counselors must also be able to drive the afterschool van and pick up students are their schools and drop them off at our center.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct and maintain daily attendance records.
• Ensure safety and supervision to a group of 15 children.
• Ensure that activities are planned and followed for the children.
• Be able to operate a vehicle to pick up children from their schools.
• Assist children with their homework on a daily basis.
• Enforce safety rules and ensure practices are followed as they relate to children and staff.

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be a safe driver.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean record.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to assist children with homework in the English language.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish or English and Creole), a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to relate to individuals at all levels.
• Ability to communicate effectively, motivate students and lead group.
• Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to submit to and satisfactorily clear a thorough Level II fingerprinting background screening and a mandatory physical examination by a doctor.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
