Title: Aerospace Technician II
Position Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $21.30 - $36.26 Hourly (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data)

About the Role:
We are looking for multiple Aerospace Technicians II that will support one of the following programs:
- INCUS: NASA has selected Tendeg to deliver four Ka-band deployable antennas for a new Earth science mission called Investigation of Convective Updrafts (INCUS) that will study the behavior of tropical storms and thunderstorms, including their impacts on weather and climate models. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasa-selects-new-mission- to-study-storms-impacts-on-climate-models
- SDC: NASA has selected Tendeg to develop a large rectangular aperture deployable antenna for a Surface Deformation and Change mission. The baseline antenna is 7x1.4m and operates at C-band and will need to demonstrate TRL6 by the end of 2022. - 2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO to lunar applications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read understand and execute work instructions to build mechanical assemblies and write assembly procedures.
- Responsible for using high precision measurement equipment for tool creation and quality control inspection.
- Maintain and inspect all flight hardware and assemblies to verify company product standards.
- Communicate with engineers and the production team to create and improve designs for tooling and for minor flight hardware changes.
- Verify final built configuration of assemblies’ match engineering detailed in the work instructions and assembly drawing.
- Identify non-conforming parts during the build process by referencing engineering documentation.
- Take ownership and maintain build documentation for assemblies being built. Including filling out work instructions, non-conformance reports and logging time against the applicable work order.
- Be willing to cross train in multiple areas of specialty.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Key Job Requirements:
- 5-12 years of experience needed in mechanical assembly
- Technical school degree and certification for technicians; license as required by state
- MUST have experience performing light mechanical assembly
- Technical writing skills preferred
- Preferred experience with calibrated tools and equipment’s
- Ability to read and work to engineering documentation
- Excellent manual dexterity, ability to handle small parts
- Possess strong problem solving and communication abilities
- Familiarity with small tools used for handheld assembly
- High standard of workmanship is a must
