POSITION SUMMARY:
The Scheduler position in Renewable Fuels is responsible for optimally scheduling ethanol or bio to MPC and third-party product terminals and reports into the Renewables Scheduling Manager. The successful candidate will manage inventories to meet Marketing demands and work with an array of internal organizations and 3rd party industry contacts to ensure supply objectives are fulfilled. The candidate should be self-motivated, have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and work well in a team environment. This role is based in San Antonio, TX; however, Findlay, OH may be considered with the right candidate.
**This position is part of a job family with multiple levels. The successful candidate will be place at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications**
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Schedule truck, barge, ship, and rail movements necessary to meet demands for renewable fuels/feedstocks.

Monitor inventory levels and schedules on a daily basis to ensure that supply meets forecasted demands.

Executes scheduling strategies that optimize changes in supply due to operating constraints, unplanned events, and changes in market fundamentals. Works with internal and external partners to accommodate such changes.

Interface with traders and analyst to stay abreast of trading activity and to recommend and implement changes in supply movements to achieve optimum value.

Monitor contract balances and communicate significant carry/shortfall to traders and analyst.

Work to resolve outstanding contract issues in conjunction with accounting, trader and third-party suppliers.

Convey clear and concise information regarding inventory levels, forecast anomalies, and market shifts to stakeholders.

Interface with 3rd party suppliers and inspection companies, terminal, marine, rail, transport operations, marketing, pricing, product quality and light product personnel.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
-
Minimum bachelor's degree in related field is required; 6 years of additional experience will be required in addition to the below in lieu of degree (total years of experience must be 10+ to qualify without degree).

4 or more years of experience in crude oil, refined products or renewable scheduling experience or proven execution of equal ability in scheduling/logistics.
