ADMISSIONS PATIENT ACCESS SUPERVISOR FULL TIME MANATEE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
Job description
Responsible for managing the daily functions of the Admissions Department. Coordinates the inpatient admissions, outpatient registrations, emergency registrations, bed management, and financial counseling processes. Serves as a liaison between Admissions and the central billing office. Responsible for maintaining Service Excellence standards within the Admissions Department. Counsels and administers corrective action when applicable. Meets the educational and developmental needs of the staff by conducting monthly staff meetings, orienting and training new employees, and providing on-going training. Monitors reports relative to the work area for compliance to policy and procedure and on-going evaluation of indicated changes. Performs job candidate interviews and hires new employees. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

High School Graduate or GED
Knowledge of insurance requirements and/or third-party reimbursement, preferred
Associates Degree preferred
Use of effective communication skills which foster positive outcomes. Able to maintain a high awareness of patient satisfaction
Strong customer service skills, preferred
Able to pay attention to detail and work in a stressful environment
2 years registration experience required
Previous computer entry experience and able to type 40 WPM with accuracy in spelling
Previous Supervisory or Management experience required
Bilingual preferred
Able to communicate effectively and demonstrate service excellence through appropriate response and use of constructive problem solving techniques when confronted with different people or situations
