Administrative Secretary

Nurs-Health Promotion & Development - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (23001567)


Provide secretarial assistance to Chair, as well as large academic department, which includes reception to office, screening calls and visitors, conference rooms, meetings, appointments, travel arrangements, etc. Assists with execution of general office functions. Responsible for collecting, copying, etc. of course materials for distance education courses. Inventories and purchases department supplies and processes payments via PantherExpress. Maintains equipment functions, i.e., fax/copier, which is available to the entire school. Maintains confidentiality of all student and faculty information. Assist faculty with grant proposals. Other related tasks or projects as requested.

High School Diploma or GED is required; Associate Degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years' experience in office environment preferred with diverse and multi-demand work requirements from multiple sources. Experience in academic work setting preferred, especially interacting with students. Must be skilled in the use of general computer software (e.g., word processing, excel, power point, databases). Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted per university guidelines.
