Bachoco OK Foods is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Fort Smith, AR location .
Summary: To perform general administrative duties and provide support to the Live Services Department as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Weekly Budget working with other departments to collect all the necessary data.
  • Maintains, compiles and files paperwork
  • Updates/prints the training sheets for the Supervisors
  • Records all training in the document register while working with the Supervisors to ensure all employees are trained properly
  • Organizes luncheons
  • Handling incoming/outgoing calls, correspondence.
  • Updating, faxing, photocopying, processing, and filing of all documents
  • Meeting and greeting visitors to the office
  • Compiles and enters data for daily and weekly reports (often uses MTech, Excel, and Word to create spreadsheets and graphs)
  • Coordinating between departments and operating units in resolving day-to-day administrative and operational problems
  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings, interviews, events and other similar activities
  • Preparing business correspondence (often using word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation computer software)
  • Record notes of meetings, projects, follow-ups and scheduling
  • Assist Managers and Supervisors as needed
  • In the absence of the other Live Services clerks, the Scheduling Clerk/Administrative Assistant will assume all responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
