Administrative Assistant (Clinical Research)

SIGA Technologies, Inc. (www.siga.com) is seeking an exceptionally organized, astute Administrative Assistant to join SIGA’s Research & Development Team in Corvallis, Oregon. This role reports to the Associate Director, Clinical Research and provides administrative support to the department. The Administrative Assistant participates in organizing projects related to SIGA’s clinical research activities while also providing cross-functional support to internal R&D teams. As a full time (40 hours/week) position, this role is eligible for SIGA’s full benefits package including company paid medical, dental, and visions benefits, short and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance and paid time off. This position has the option for a hybrid work arrangement and may require domestic travel up to 5% of the time.
Responsibilities for this position include:
· Provide administrative assistance to the Associate Director, Clinical Research
· Work closely with the Associate Director, Clinical Research and other team members in support of clinical and project management activities including day-to-day clinical operation
· Act as liaison between company and subcontractors
· Coordinate documentation filing and subcontractor deliverables
· Review material for completeness, internal consistency with other documents, and conformance to internal policies
· Ensure compliance with company standards and policies
· Provide assistance to cross-functional R&D teams, as needed
· Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications include:
Bachelors Degree in a relevant field with at least one year of administrative experience, required
Experience supporting clinical trials, a plus
Experience working in a small to mid-sized company preferred
The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge and abilities:
· Must be proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
· Must possess exceptional organizational skills
· Must be able to work independently as well as in groups
· Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
· Detail oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment requiring the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task
· Must be able to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive situations with tact, professionalism and diplomacy.
