Position Summary:
Audit Administrative Assistant

Administrative Assistant position available supporting the audit department at UHY LLP, a fast-growing, public accounting firm.

Work in a fast-paced department that is looking for an individual who takes pride in quality work. You can be an integral part of our audit department by demonstrating your ability to field numerous requests under deadline and still uphold high standards when producing your work.

Core Responsibilities

  • Formatting, editing and finalizing financial statements while adhering to Firm formatting guidelines
  • Maintain engagement letter templates and prepare as requested
  • Maintain accurate scheduling for audit teams in Retain
  • Close out & finalize work papers after audit is completed; enter details of finished work on monthly log to Quality Control Dept.
  • Formatting audit presentations at the completion of audit
  • Formatting Due Diligence Reports
  • Creation of new client engagement accounts
  • Engagement tracking
  • Maintaining engagement binders
  • Preparation of SAS reports, Statement of Auditing Standards
  • Maintain supplies for audit department

  • Attention to Detail is a critical skill required for all work
  • Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects under deadline
  • Communication- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of department employees giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions as appropriate.
  • Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents so you can effectively proofread and edit documents.
  • Time Management - Managing one's own time to meet deadlines
  • Work Prioritization- Able to prioritize multiple requests to meet the demands of business and provide timely feedback.
  • Teamwork – Ability to function and contribute within an agile administrative team and be with flexible support especially during busy season.
  • Proactive Approach - Ability to forecast potential problems and suggest solutions.
  • Confidentiality – Ability to keep client and employee information confidential.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
Education and Experience
  • Preferably 3-5 years previous work experience as an administrative assistant in a corporate professional services setting
  • Expert level knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required
  • Previous experience in an accounting, financial or legal firm desirable but not required
