Non-Permanent Full-time Position Available
The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Administrative Assistant 2 at Clallam Bay Corrections Center.
Clallam Bay Corrections Center is a 900 bed male facility located on the point of the Olympic Peninsula. It is 50 miles west of Port Angeles and looks out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca at Vancouver Island. This facility houses medium and close custody offenders. CBCC also operates an Intensive Management Unit.

The Administrative Assistant 2 (AA2) works under the direction of the Correctional Specialist 2 (the facility Legal Liaison) in the Legal Liaison's Office to perform delegated duties associated with the virtual court process and other court actions as supported through DOC policy. The AA2 will also perform work related to facility callouts and other clerical or administrative tasks to support the Legal Liaison Office. This position supports the agency's mission by providing timely and appropriate interactions with our criminal justice partners to address necessary court actions. The AA2 reflects DOC Values through professional and responsive interactions throughout our agency and with external stakeholders.
The primary responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant 2 are:

Supports professional and responsive interactions with criminal justice partners for requested court proceedings as directed by the facility Legal Liaison. -
Maintains documentation/data related to the Legal Liaison Office and performs other clerical duties as directed by the facility Legal Liaison.

Completes public disclosure requests.

Manages Daily Callout System.

Audits Compliance Coordinator.
Required:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent
4. Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Preferred:
One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 1 or an Office Assistant 3; or,
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
Clerical or office work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge and well-versed in DOC Policies to include, but not limited to:
- DOC 450.200 Telephone Use by Incarcerated Individuals
- DOC 490.800 PREA Prevention and Reporting
- DOC 590.500 Legal Access for Incarcerated Individuals
