Utah Valley University is currently seeking an Administrative Support III! Working under general supervision of Research and Creative Works Director performs moderately complex and confidential administrative support which requires a broad range of skills and knowledge of departmental and university policies and procedures. Monitors budget, composes, edits, and proofreads correspondence, performs basic data analysis, creates reports and prepares a range of administrative documents. Provide walk in, Teams and telephone support and customer service.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • (30%) Tracks department financial activities including grant awards, office requisitions, purchase orders, and budget transfers.

  • (25%) Under general supervision, performs moderately complex and confidential administrative support duties, which require a range of skills and knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.

  • (20%) Composes, edits, and proofreads correspondence and reports, and prepares a range of administrative documents and other duties as assigned.

  • (15%) Assists with marketing of services and events, including maintenance of department web pages.

  • (10%) Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's related to the Summary of Duties OR any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

  • Knowledge and experience working in an education or office environment.

  • Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Knowledge of University budgets and indexes.

  • Skills in the use of computers and computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and databases. Skills in office methods, techniques, practices and procedures.

  • Skills in organization, database management and coordination.

  • Skills in records management. Skills in professional correspondence preparation.

  • Ability to perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision.

  • Ability to meet and work with people of diverse backgrounds.

  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written procedures and instructions.

  • Ability to compose and edit written materials.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
