Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 10:00 AM -7:00 PM
  • 1 hour lunch break
  • Rotate weekends (as needed for special events)

Job:

The Activity Coordinator is the point of contact for all student based activities. The Activity Coordinator is supervised directly by the Program Director and works collectively with all departments on campus. The Activity Coordinator position focuses on improving current activities and events, as well as searching out and starting up new activities and events that could benefit both students and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops specific Unit schedules that outline activities a month at a time. Activities include: Arts and Crafts, Flexercise, Therapeutic, Autistic Based, Physical Education, and other suggested activities by Multi-Disciplinary Team
  • Organizing lists of supplies needed for activities and give to Executive Director
  • Assure that Activity areas are cleaned and organized
  • Assist with organization of off- site field trips or outings
  • Be aware of and proactive with the Coordination of Non-School, Holiday, and BA special events
  • With supervisor approval, will requisition and purchase supplies and materials as needed according to budget by pricing items needed, completing requisition forms, securing approval prior to purchase and returning receipt in order to maintain adequate inventory for conducting activities
  • Conducts and/or attends various facility meetings including in-service education and committee meetings
  • Prepares and maintains by documentation of students' progress toward goals, participation in group activities, types of activities, attendance, etc
  • Adheres to the policy and practice concerning issues of creation, editing, transmission, storage and disposition of all Protected Health Information (PHI) of Sequel Youth & Family Youth Services

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Required
  • Ability to obtain a Fingerprint clearance card (or in current possession)
  • Individual judgment, discretion, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Emotionally and physically able to assist in physical escort and/or restraint
  • Must be able to help carry an ill, injured, or incapacitated student
  • Confidentiality and professionalism are essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.25 per hour
