Sentry Hill a beautiful senior living community in York Maine is currently hiring an Activities Coordinator to join our team. We currently have an opening for someone looking to work weekends.

Our Activities Coordinators are responsible for assisting in planning, coordinating and implementing diverse and adapted program offerings that reflect the interests, values and beliefs of the residents. An Activity Coordinator effectively facilitates multiple one-on-one and small group situations with residents during the shift in accordance to the Activities Calendar and assigned schedule. Activity Coordinators will cue, encourage and motivate residents to increase involvement in scheduled activities and document involvement according to facility and state guidelines and perform other duties as assigned by the Activity Director.

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED. Experience and interest in working with older adults, especially with the Alzheimer’s population. Experience in a long term care setting is preferred. Undergraduate education in therapeutic recreation, psychology, gerontology or a related field is a plus but not necessary. Availability for evening and weekends is a must.
