The Glen at Scripps Ranch is looking for a Full Time Activities Assistant. Schedule will be Sunday-Thursdays flexible on hours, 8 hour shift.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Activities Assistant supports the Activities Director with general administrative duties, works with the residents and the Resident Activities Committee, and helps organize resident activities.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Clerical duties as needed, generating forms and creating basic fliers and notices for announcements, meetings, events, etc.
- Daily review of in-house slide show to ensure accuracy and change/add/delete slides as necessary
- Data entry to Intranet/portal pages for Activities, including trips, parties, on-going events, movies, speakers, performers, meetings, etc.
- Setting up basic audio visual equipment for programs such as movies, presenters, etc..
- Track meeting space in meeting management software
- Track deposits and payments for vendors (including instructors, performers and speakers), get all information in advance and copy to residents who serve as emcees
- Accompany residents on occasional trips and serve as trip leader
- Assist with party planning and set up, as well as take photos during the event
- Other duties as assigned by Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least one year general office and clerical experience
- Personable and outgoing, with a passion to serving seniors
- Strong computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Word, Publisher and Outlook
- Ability to multi-task and keep records
- Organized and self-directed, with excellent customer service skills
- High school diploma or GED
