Location: Kennesaw, GA - Onsite (Hybrid Eligible After Training Period)

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager is responsible for the management of the Customer Experience (CX) team’s daily activities related to credit and collections and customer dispute resolution.

The AR Manager will lead a team whose portfolio of accounts include regional and/or cross-business unit customers.

They will work in close coordination with their designated Regional Company, as well as other divisional and corporate teams.

This position will assist in executing on a plan to maximize receivables turnover, minimize risk of loss, minimize customer disputes, and create an effortless customer experience.

This will require a seasoned professional who has experience in business to business collections, as well as customer issue resolution.

The position will require the ability to lead a collaborative work effort and balance financial goals with support for the sales organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following:
  • Assist Customer Experience Manager in the establishment of annual accounts receivable goals and monitor/measure receivable performance
  • Manage Accounts Receivable Supervisors and Customer Experience Representatives (CXRs)
  • Ensure the achievement of daily goals set for the CXRs
  • Coach and train to the policies and procedures laid out in the South Division Collections Guide
  • Interpret and communicate credit policies and procedures to support the sales function as well as subordinates. Escalate credit sign-offs as appropriate and ensure audits of customer accounts for compliance.
  • Design and implement a plan maximizing cash collections and appropriate handling of the accounts receivable portfolio to ensure integrity of the investment.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with the Regional Company presidents, AVPs, sales and other personnel.
  • Work closely with other CX team functions such as cylinder control, cash applications, data integrity, and special handling
  • Negotiate the resolution of collection matters with customers, engaging third-party collection agencies and legal counsel, as necessary.
  • Investigate methods of improving the capabilities of the organization through changes in structure, technology or method.
  • Establish goals, evaluations, positive feedback, discipline, and on-going coaching ensuring activities are performed within department and Company policy.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/business administration or related field. Certified credit executive designation and/or successive accreditation efforts a plus.
  • Five-plus years credit management experience in positions of increasing responsibility, including leadership positions, preferably with multi-industry knowledge and exposure.
  • Exposure to and working knowledge of the contract law, secured transactions and bankruptcy issues. Knowledge of external financing and financial markets.
  • Management experience including people development skills and leadership qualities.
  • Experience with SAP and/or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and juggle between Divisional, local and Corporate management demands.
