Accounts Payable Specialist (Hybrid)

Hybrid flexible scheduler- 3 days in the office/ 2 days home.
Job Summary:
The Accounting Specialist will provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation. This position will also play a key role in the onboarding process and ongoing training of Community Business Office Managers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage corporate accounts payable inbox
- Process centralized billing for all associate benefits providers.
- Process expense reports, corporate, development and intercompany invoices timely and accurately
- Process the credit card accounts (Amex and OneCard) on a monthly basis
- Enter and document all added vendors
- Research and resolve AP billing related issues with vendors and sites
- Work with sites on issues with DSSI/Capture processing integration
- Manage and distribute accounting department mail
- Manage processing and filing Corporate filings, annual reports
- Process all Year End 1099s for communities/home office and legal entities
- Track HO recurring payables and real estate taxes
- Special projects as requested by Director of Accounting and CFO
Specific Educational/Vocational Requirements:
- Preferred of Associates Degree in Accounting with 2 plus years of experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices and principles
- Skill in both verbal and written communication
- The ability to work independently and in a group environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and other software programs as needed)
- Knowledge of Yardi Voyager experience is a plus.
