Sanford Rose is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist on a CONTRACT basis for a great Manufacturing company in Southfield, MI. This opportunity is a HYBRID opportunity. You'll be responsible for invoicing, 3-way matching, and check preparation.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work with up to 350 vendors (90% is on PO's, other 10% will be chasing approvals through email and phone for things that do not have approvals)
• Accounts Payable functions such as enter invoices into system, route for approval, check preparation, processing invoices, research discrepancies and unapproved/unpaid invoices
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Monitoring vendor discount opportunities and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation with the purchasing and receiving team.
• Assisting with month end close and the AP accrual process.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in accounts payable
• Must possess high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Aptitude for multi-tasking
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills
• Ability to problem-solve
• Proficient in Excel
