Tommy White Supply has been in business since 1968. We provide materials and service for the oilfield. TWS prides itself on timely dedicated customer service. TWS is also part of the Sonepar family of operating companies, consisting of the finest locally managed electrical and industrial distributors throughout the United States.
This position compiles and maintains accounts payable records. Assists with general office and clerical work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares invoice deduction notices, as necessary.
- Answers all vendor inquiries.
- Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
- Assists in monthly closings.
- Match invoice to check and proper filing.
- Reviews and enters all “local” and “freight” invoices to be paid.
- Reviews and enters all “quick” check requests to be paid.
- Assists branch locations with accounting procedures as needed.
- Assists with EDI/Open Invoice activities.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of principles, practices, regulations and procedures as they relate to accounts payable.
- Knowledge of the application of data processing techniques relating to accounting systems.
- Maintain complex and varied files and records.
- Interpret and apply specific rules, policies and procedures of the office to which assigned.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Provide work direction and guidance to others as assigned.
- Work confidentially with discretion.
- Work independently with little direction.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- High School diploma and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
