Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Summary
The associate is responsible for accounts payable, general ledger reconciliation, and other tasks as assigned by the controller.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review reports for accuracy.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned.
- Design reports and gathers information for management.
- Providing financial, administrative, and clerical support.
- Complete payments, plus processing, verifying, and reconcile invoices.
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
- Processing due invoices for payments.
- Petty Cash.
- Data Entry.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skilled in time management and organization.
- Ability to be a good listener.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, organizing, and prioritizing.
- Practical written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with accuracy.
- Computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, NDS, E-Emphasys
- Ability to be a self-starter. Ability to work independently in a team environment.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- High energy with a positive and friendly can-do attitude.
- Telephone Skills
- Basic data entry skills
Education & Experience:
The minimum requirements for this position are as follows:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Previous accounts payable experience preferred - one to two years of experience
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Reaches to answer phones
- Read paperwork, files, and records on the computer
- Communicates via telephone and in person
- Bends body to file various paperwork
- Walking and moving about on foot often through uneven terrain
- Hears well enough to receive communication by radio, phone, and in person
- Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist
- Remains in a standing position if required to perform various functions of the job
