US Farathane is seeking an Accounting Manager at our Technology Center in Auburn Hills, MI.
The
Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the shared service accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash functions for the U.S. region. This individual also provides accounting and analytical support and works closely with the Corporate Controller to improve finance and accounting processes, manage working capital, and provide timely and accurate reporting to lenders, customers, and stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the AR and AP supervisors and accounting team to support the day-to-day activities of the U.S. shared services function.
- Work with the AR Supervisor on collections of past due accounts and resolution of unauthorized customer debits and chargebacks.
- Monitor and review cash receipts and disbursements and corporate accounting transactions to ensure they are properly recorded in accordance with US GAAP.
- Assist with month end close, including the preparation and review of monthly account reconciliations.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to lenders, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Consult with department heads and assist with the corporate budget and monthly variance analysis
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve processes, increase the use of technology and reduce reprocessing and bottlenecks.
- Work closely with the Corporate Controller & CFO to monitor and manage working capital.
- Evaluate and suggest internal control improvements, including proper separation of duties.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Assist with tax compliance (i.e., 1099’s, state sales and use tax reporting, local personal property tax reporting, etc.)
- Assist with the annual financial audit.
- Work with the CFO and insurance agents on administration of the Company’s general property, liability, and workers compensation insurance programs.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven working experience as an Accounting, Finance or Shared Services Leader. Typically, 5+ years of experience.
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Great Plains or QAD experience preferable
- Ability to manipulate and analyze large volumes of data
- Proven knowledge of US GAAP reporting
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise a team
