Accounting Associate
Genpak LLC, a leading manufacturer of disposable foodservice packaging, is seeking to fill the position of Accounting Associate in our corporate office Accounting Department located in Charlotte, NC.
REPORTS TO: Accounts Receivable Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Salary Non-Exempt
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately apply and post daily cash receipts
- Analyze various customer deductions and create chargebacks as necessary
- Clearly document and communicate receipt application with the Cost Management team
- Gather remittance advices and back up for ACH payments
- Research and resolve cash application errors
- Send daily invoicing reports, mail invoices and update customer's invoicing preference
- Correct invoice GL errors
- Update customer credit status and contact records
- Bill back and collect unearned cash discounts
- Obtain trade credit references or process credit reference requests as needed
- Maintain and issue Certificates of Insurance
- Additional AR, credit, or collection duties as assigned
- Provide overall support to the Corporate Accounting team and perform general booking duties
- Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries
- Provide support in annual year end audit
- Assist with documenting current or new processes and procedures

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Cash application experience required
- Oracle experience required
