- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting; within construction industry.
- Purchase Orders, Accounts Payable and Administrative Job Accounting in Construction 2 Years
- Sage 100 Contractor Edition 1-2 Years
- Proficiency in all MS Office programs with Strong MS Excel skills required, as well as Adobe Acrobat.

Metropolis is seeking a Professional & Experienced Accounting Assistant excited to join our growing team. An individual with excellent communication and time management skills, detailed, proactive, team player, with a positive attitude to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Providing support to the Accounting Department.
- Responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable.
- A/P: Code Invoices for vendor Id, job number, commitment, et. al. and match invoices to each.
- Reconciling invoices and identifying discrepancies.
- Payments to Vendors- Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and maintain accurate records.
- Handling communication with vendors via phone and email.
- Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating budgets and balances.
- Preparing financial reports.
- Assisting with office tasks such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
- Entering in Sage 100 Client Job with contracts, purchase orders, setting up budgets and submitting to our insurance broker required insurance requirements to obtain insurance certificates.
Required Skills/ Abilities
- Proficiency in all MS Office programs with Strong MS Excel skills required, as well as Adobe Acrobat.
- Organized, detailed oriented with good task management skills.
- Professional demeanor, ability to be trusted with confidential and sensitive information.
- High Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience Professional in Construction Industry, Electrical is a plus.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Standard English. Spanish is a plus.
Education and Experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or close-related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting; construction industry is a plus.
- Require working knowledge of Sage 100 is required to understand the workflow.
