JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for the oversight and management of administrative and processing requirements in Account Services to effectively support our internal and external customers. This role is responsible for the daily interaction, service and support of both internal and external customers and the timely processing of customer requests to update benefit design, pricing and contractual agreements to ensure customer and Delta Dental success. This position understands and validates the accurate submission of account data in the organization's systems. The job will recommend updates to documented procedures to ensure consistency and alignment in the execution of daily tasks and workflow.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages client requests for non-rated and rate impacting changes to their existing business by maintaining an advanced understanding of account structure and system configuration.
  • Acts as internal backup for the Account Manager in service of the client through direct interaction and in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Researches, analyzes and interprets benefit configuration, structure, products and plan designs to develop the knowledge necessary to accurately and timely process workflow.
  • Develops collaborative relationships with other functional areas to resolve client inquiries or issues.
  • Researches and pursues resolution of issues using systems and workflows to communicate resolution back to the client/broker, AM, SA and sales management.
  • Manages changes to contractual documents up to and including review, validation and distribution and execution of documents.
  • Develops the presentation skills and product knowledge necessary to support open enrollment meetings for customers onsite or virtual.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • This position is hybrid and requires the employee to report to one of our California regional office locations 3 times a month: Cerritos, Rancho Cordova or San Francisco/Oakland.
  • 1 or more years of experience with a High School Diploma.
  • 5 years related experience in Sales and Account Management with a focus on administrative/client support.
  • Experience in direct and indirect client support. An insurance license may be required in some states.
  • Familiarity with Delta Dental and competitor products and services available. Familiarity with service guarantees, summary plan descriptions (SPDs) and contractual language preferred. Knowledge of Current Dental Terminology (CDT) codes and dental nomenclature.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to evaluate and respond to business needs.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Delta Dentals policies, procedures and ethics.
  • Detail-oriented; flexible and creative with excellent organization and planning skills
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and related customer relationship management (CRM) such as Salesforce.
  • Ability to understand complex rules, regulations, procedures and functions to disseminate that knowledge to in a clear and understandable format to others.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $46,359 - $93,100
