The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Acute Patient Care-Central Sterilization Solutions Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Driving sales growth through collaborative efforts with other 3M Medical Solutions Division personnel including Clinical Specialists, Technical Consultants, Surgical Solutions, Wound Healing Account Managers, Key Account Managers, Marketing
  • Communicating clinical and business solutions to ICU, Infection Prevention, Vascular Access teams, Nurse leadership, Educators, Sterile Processing, Central Supply, Bio Medical Engineering, Materials Management/Purchasing, Value Analysis and other relevant key call points in acute care hospitals
  • Using territory analysis and opportunity assessment to create a business plan for growth
  • Actively participating in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards
  • Drives sales growth through customer/product knowledge, ability to identify key opportunities, gain access, and to implement marketing programs
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Four (4) years sales and/or clinical experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, Valid Driver’s license is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Three (3) years combined healthcare sales and/or clinical experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Experience calling on ICU, Infection Prevention, Vascular Access teams, Nurse leadership, Educators, Sterile Processing, Central Supply, Bio Medical Engineering Materials Management/Supply Chain, Value Analysis teams and other relevant key call points in acute care hospitals
  • Effective skills in communicating clinical and business solutions to customers
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, including pipeline management/CRM tools
  • Experience working with distribution/channel partners to drive sales results
  • Strong understanding of GPO’s /national contracts
  • Experience working with nurse educators to educate and in-service hospital personnel
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology, processes, and procedures
Work location: Work Your Way Eligible (Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid)
Travel: May include up to 50% domestic/international
