Job Description:
The Accounts Payable Supervisor will lead the Accounts Payable team to help ensure the delivery of exceptional support, services, and accurate transactional data. This position will also work with the Manager, Vendor Account Services to drive process improvement and efficiency within the department.
1. Provides leadership and guidance to the Accounts Payable team related to transactional functions a. Ensures all vendor invoices are processed accurately and timely b. Processes payments and creates payments within the BOA portal c. Assists with the administration of the company credit card program including the reimbursement of out of pocket expenses d. Issues company 1099 forms e. Manages and helps to administer record retention functions through Iron Mountain 2. Works with the Manager, Vendor Account Services to promote process improvement a. Identifies areas of potential process improvement b. Works to implement new ideas and procedures to meet department efficiency goals 3. Provides general leadership and oversight to the Accounts Payable team a. Works with the Accounts Payable team members to ensure delivery of exceptional administrative services including promoting customer service b. Assists the Manager, Vendor Account Services in setting goals and initiatives for the team and promoting a healthy team environment in line with the company expectations and core values c. Provides ongoing feedback to team members in areas of performance and addresses any performance/skill/competency concerns when appropriate d. Sets an example for team members in areas of work performance and habits
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience 2. Strong knowledge of accounts payable processing 3. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with accounts payable processing
