Accounting Specialist - AP/AR
Position Overview:
The Accounting Specialist is vital to the success of the business by maintaining and managing current accounting status including accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial reporting. Must be able to collaborate as a team player, motivate and support various staff within the organization. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability and energetic drive to develop both internal and external service and solution-oriented relationships. Navigate systems and tools to ensure complete and accurate data entry on a variety of priorities and responsibilities.
General Overview of Responsibilities:
Enter all invoices and payments.
Submit collection notices and reminder statements to outstanding customers.
Provide support to the sales and office administrative team.
Generate formal quotes from QuickBooks promptly and accurately.
Provide customer service by communicating with all clients, consultants, and customers regarding invoices and payments.
Maintain vendor communication and review client purchase orders and work orders.
Prepare weekly report of AP/AR and cash activity.
Regular bank account and credit card statement reconciliations.
Assist with new client and vendor file development, internal communication, and establishment of all pertinent information and file documentation.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance position.
Comfortability in both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, willingness to be flexible moving from task to task as appropriate for the success of the business.
Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite and QuickBooks.
Strong tendency towards adaptability and agility as priorities can quickly change.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Outstanding time management skills with ability to be flexible.
Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize.
