Fitchburg Schools Nutrition Services is hiring for an experienced and reliable 6 Hour Helper and Fill in Cook at Fitchburg High School. Join our amazing team of "Lunch Ladies" and "Lunch Gentleman".

6 Hours per day, guaranteed 180 days per year. Family friendly hours, only work when school is in session.

This job is ideal for anyone with school aged children looking to earn additional income while their children are in school.

Wages

• Starting Wage - $17.76 to $17.91 per hour depending on experience
• Annual cost of living and step wage increases
• Full benefits, city retirement pension, paid sick time, holidays, personal time

Primary responsibilities

• Working in the Kitchen and Cafeteria as part of our amazing team of Nutrition Services Professionals at Fitchburg High School performing duties as outlined in job description. These duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with breakfast and lunch service, food preparation, food safety and sanitation in a school cafeteria environment.
• Covering as the Cook at Fitchburg when when the regular Cook is out. Hours worked as Cook paid at Cooks rate between $19.15 to $20.26 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a professional food service environment preferred - restaurant, hotel, quick casual restaurant, etc.
• Must have strong customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
• Primarily responsible for assisting with breakfast and lunch service
• Food preparation
• Knowledgeable in food safety and sanitation in a school cafeteria environment.
• Lift up to 30lbs
