Astra Surveying is a rapidly growing full service surveying company working throughout Florida specializing mostly in construction. We are seeking a dynamic team member for a 3D Modeler position in Jacksonville, Orlando or Tampa and surrounding areas.

Job Description includes, but not limited to:

• 
  CADD Aided 3D design tools such as CADD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Terramodel, Microstation, etc.
• Reading and interpreting Civil site and Heavy Civil Roadway and all related Plans, Structures, Utilities, etc.
• Civil Design Standards specific to the project at hand, FDOT primarily and other entities and municipalities.
• Civil Geometry Elements to define and reproduce Survey and Construction Centerlines, Horizontal and Spiral Curves, Profiles, Vertical Curves, etc.
• Civil Geometry and roadway features of the proposed design from a set of plans and available CADD files.
• FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as well as FDOT Design Standards.
• Rule Based Design Parameters, Superelevations, Template Transitions, Intersections, etc.
• 3D Surface Models, Corridor and Terrain Model Clipping and Merging.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  Proficient mathematical and computer skills
• Must be highly motivated, organized, and possess a strong positive worth ethic
• A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Highly detail oriented with the ability to recognize discrepancies
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
